Lord Of The Ring Online
Lotro celebrates its 15th anniversary
Lord of the Rings Online debuted in April 2007, and the team has made a lovely announcement as the MMO approaches its 15th birthday.
Lord of the Rings Online is set to make one of the biggest changes to its monetization scheme since the fantasy MMORPG went free-to-play in 2010 The birthday presents are for the players and it will be the game’s first five (normally paid-for) expansions: Mines of Moria, Siege of Mirkwood, Rise of Isengard, Riders of Rohan, and Helm’s Deep. Furthermore, all players will be able to utilize Rune-keepers, Wardens, and Beornings, even if they don’t own the content in which they were first introduced.
Improved animations and visuals support for 4K resolution and improved adaptation to widescreen monitors additional settings for the parameters of the world map improved game interface.
In addition, the developers have also confirmed that the River Hobbits will become a new race in the game and they are adding a new area to the game: the northern region known as the Yondershire, a sparsely populated region of moor, thicket, and fen that has long been home to Hobbit recluses and troublemakers.
The update will also kick off the long-standing MMORPG’s 15th anniversary celebration featuring the return of the Anniversary Festival which will come with a brand new instance: A Flurry of Fireworks! In the new instance, players will help set up the greatest fireworks display that Bree-land has ever seen by delivering fireworks to their designated locations in time for the display.
Changes will also be made to VIP perks including giving subscribers access to the standard versions of the Mordor, Minas Morgul, and War of Three Peaks expansions. The team will also be following up on last month’s cash shop changes by making the High Elf race as well as the Rune-Keeper, Warden, and Beorning classes free for all players.
